Hello and welcome to my little corner of the internet – thanks for stopping by!
I was raised in southern California, in a busy suburb about an hour east of Los Angeles. Though I grew up in a land of traffic, warm winters, and fresh veggies year round, I spent a majority of my summers, Christmas breaks and spring breaks visiting family in Oklahoma. These times had such an impact on my life – I have wonderful memories of Sunday roast dinner at my grandma’s, walking across the street to play on the elementary school’s playground, sipping sweet tea on the front porch, and catching fire flies after the sun sets in the evening. These experiences have certainly shaped my heart for the slower-paced life that often accompanies country living.
I attended Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, CA where I graduated with my Bachelors of Arts in Christian Ministries in 2012. This was also where I met an amazing man and, after three years of dating, we got married in November of 2011. I am currently working on my masters degree at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA.
Most recently, we have moved to the beautiful city of Colorado Springs. My husband works for a church management software here and I am slowly learning what it means to trust in the God who makes our paths straight.
We are working on creating a life of rest, grace, and good food. I love studying and talking about Sabbath practices, experimenting with new recipes, and sharing life with friends over a good cup of coffee. I believe football is a joyous season of the year and love is found in the details of a simplified life.
