A couple of weeks ago we took an unforgettable and amazing trip to celebrate the hubby’s big 30th birthday. He is a huge Green Bay Packers fan and grew up watching Brett Farve slay defenses, so a trip to Lambeau field was like a landmark trip to Mecca. With my new work responsibilities and schedules, we have opposite days off which means this trip was the first time we’ve spent more than 8 hours in a row together since Labor Day. Can any of my girlfriends relate? If you work opposite days as your main man, how do you manage schedules and quality time together to continue to grow your relationship? Help!
SATURDAY: TRAVEL + BREWERY TOUR
Saturday night we enjoyed dinner + a brewery tour at Titletown Brewery. We’ve been on several brewery tours over the years and this was definitely one of our favorites. Plus, we got to watch OU beat up on Oklahoma State before and after the tour which is always a win 🙂
This boy loves him some Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf – and the ONLY one in all of Colorado is in the Southwest terminal of the Denver airport.
SUNDAY: STADIUM TOUR + SHOPPING
Sunday we woke up early, grabbed some breakfast, and headed to Lambeau Field for a full tour, a visit to the Packers Hall of Fame, some extensive shopping and lunch at the amazing Hinterland Brewery.
MONDAY: GAME DAY!!
Game Day – the day where the entire town essentially shuts down, people take a half day off of work, and everything is decked out in green and gold. We had a delicious breakfast at The Creamery, took a trolley tour throughout the city and then hurried back to our AirBNB to put on every thermal that we owned for the game.
Tuesday was a slow morning to recover, pack up, do a little more shopping, and then head back to the airport. It was an incredible trip filled with tons of Packers gear, rich city history, and way too much fried food. Plus we got to celebrate my favorite person!
