LOOKING FOR FALL LEAVES

A couple of weeks ago, Andrew and I began to hear friends and co-workers talk about the changing colors of the aspen leaves – fall was surely upon us! We were afraid we had missed the perfect window because I guess the leaves can go from green to gorgeous to dead in the manner of a couple of days.

We were so excited when we started driving up the mountain and saw GORGEOUS leaves, trees and views – all the heart eyes! It was a beautiful day of cruising through the mountains, pulling over when we wanted to take some pictures, finding a fun little stream and campground to have a picnic lunch at (thus crossing another thing off of my “27 Things While I’m 27” list!) – it was simply the perfect fall day in Colorado.

We packed our sandwiches and chips and found a lovely little campground where we pulled off and had our picnic lunch. It was so clear and crisp outside – you could easily smell the pine trees!
